Has anyone ever used one of those "drive your car to X destination" services? ...or, does anyone want to drive my car to X destination?

just curious what your experiences have been. if any.

shipping is likely 2x the cost, and the lack of timing specificity really annoys me.

What car?

I helped someone picked up a car once.

No, but I kind of always wanted to get paid to do that. Until I saw that movie with C. Thomas Howell, kind of turned me off to the idea.

No.

How far are you trying to move it? Origin and destination?

I always drive mine because it kills two birds with one cruise.

The one where he’s hired to drive a late ‘70s Seville through the desert and some Soviets attack him. Although it’s been awhile, so I might be missing some details.

My dad did that in college. I’m going to assume VA didn’t have automatic jail time for reckless driving back then, based on some of his speed records from Blacksburg.

I think it would be fun though - don’t guess the car you want is going to or from CO?

Ouch, eastern third of the country. In the west, that would be a long one day drive.

Is there any way you could leave it or go earlier? My last long move was tricky mostly because I underestimated the time I would need.

oh... im not moving. this is more of a purposeful road trip with some hard dates built in.

and yeah... basically, until you’re out deep into virginia the roads and traffic are kinda crap.

well... if you have any reason to be in philly and/or tennesee in the third week of april, and want to spend 2-3 days with an interesting and fun car, let me know.

bought my last car in CO, by the way. drove it all the way back east solo.
